"Moonsoon Mixtape" is a curated evening of semi-classical music including the forms of thumri, kajri, saawan, jhoola and other folk genres. Monsoons have been a source of inspiration since time immemorial. After long summer months, rains can bring about emotions of joy and fulfillment ; the dark clouds can bring about fear and anxiety; the gloomy clouds can amp up the sadness of separation and can urge you to miss your beloved. There are innumerable songs and genres around the theme, and through the evening we'll explore a few of them. It will be an evening, where we welcome the glorious monsoons of Mumbai together.
